With the setting sun glistening off the sea, it was an absolute delight to have 25 of my younger students perform in front of each other a few weeks ago. We invited parents, friends and family to the WhiteCliffs cafe where I had set up my stage piano, and the room was absolutely packed!!
For many of the young students, it was their first time performing in front of a crowd, and it can be quite a terrifying experience, but everyone did so well!
We had a plenty of duets, a few performers who sang with their playing, and one performance of John Lennon’s Imagine, with the entire crowd singing along! That was quite a special moment, with about 70 people in the room!
Well done to all of my fabulous students who participated! And thank you to their families and friends for the support in their practice. It is a joy to play the piano, and giving an enduring skill for life that will forever challenge us and give us such enjoyment.
Of course, huge appreciation to the glorious WhiteCliffs cafe and team – such a beautiful venue on our lovely seafront!
