I began playing piano aged 10, and took my first three grades in the same year. At 15, I started giving piano lessons to primary school children. I achieved ABRSM grade 8, a distinction in music theory, and aged 17, I began studying music at City University in London.
After completing my honours degree, I trained as a secondary school teacher and taught in schools in Essex and Kent for five years. I have been entering students for ABRSM grade exams since 2005 and have a 100% success rate. In 2010, I moved to Brighton and began my private teaching studio.
I'm also a published music journalist (Kerrang!, NME), editor, and photographer, and have run many events.
Asides from music, I take photos, and enjoy travelling, yoga, and walking my dogs at the beach.
